rutilated prehnite asymmetric ring

Sterling silver and 22ct gold ring with rutilated prehnite.

Prehnite is a silicate mineral with a translucent green hue.  The oval cabochon prehnite in this ring also has needles of black tourmaline formed inside.  This unusual gemstone is set in 22ct gold on an brush matt finished sterling silver shank.    The gem is positioned off set and sits comfortably between two fingers when on.

The gemstone measures 21.5mm x 17mm.  The ring shank is 20.5mm at its widest and has a material thickness of 1.8mm.
