Sterling silver and 22ct gold ring with rutilated quartz.
The inner structure of this large oval quartz cabochon is made from a multitude of black tourmaline needles that developed naturally in situ. This gives every rutile quartz its own unique look. The inner complexity of the gemstone contrasts with the clean simple form of the silver shank and solid 22ct gold setting. The gem comfortably sits off set between the fingers.
The rutilated quartz measures 24mm x 18mm. The ring shank at its widest measures 19mm with a material thickness of 1.8mm.
